  Fausto, our host was fabulous. He speaks 4 or 5 languages fluently, is very kind, patient, generous and helpful. We were able to get last minute tickets through him to hear Vivaldi at one of the churches nearby. The # 4.2 Vaporetto leaves to cruise the islands in the Lagoon directly from - 1. The staff. Nice and friendly. Although not all can speak good English, but they try their best to help. Quick response to my emails. They provided directions to the centre. 2. The breakfast. Not much choices (2 rolls, jam, butter, cheese, 1 croissant, tea/coffee/hot chocolate) but it was OK and quick.   Location was about 10 mins walk from St. Marks Square. Close yet far enough away from crowds. Rooms were lovely.Ours was small but had view of canal while our friends had a huge room to make up for lack of view, I reckon! Personally, I loved room with a view. Staff very helpful and breakfast very tasty. All in all, great value.
