  The staff was wonderful! We arrived at the hotel around 10 am after a long bus ride and we were able to check in early.The room was better than we ever imagined. It was spacious and very clean. We had more than enough towels and sheets for one night..and there was even a hair dryer in the room which we were not expecting.   Excellent.We stayed in this hotel only for one night , but it is suffice to say that we felt homey. Commodious , cleanness of the rooms , very good breakfest.   The staff was very friendly and very helpful with directions. Location was excellent: 3 closeby train stations and very central, beside Alster lake, closeby touristy spots. The rooms were new, very comfy beds (difficult to leave the room!) Price was reasonable for the convenience. I also liked the Barcelo hotel big sign that helped us find the hot... what people say » el when we were lost walking in the streets. - Excellent location near to station, art gallery, and shopping areas. Short walk to Town Hall square and lake. Very helpful staff at reception. Seuss penthouse suite which was superb and excellent value. Can't really fault the hotel except the design of the ground floor areas is rather bland and uninteresting.
