Leipzig Hotels

Got a terrific deal that put the cost of this at approx. $66 per night. I would not consider this hotel four stars by American standards, but I got much more than I paid for and was very comfortable throughout my stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Though only the reception staff spoke fluent English, this was never a problem. The hotel is not air conditioned, but the three large windows opened wide and let in cool air. We stayed a night here after a walking holiday in Thuringia and really enjoyed it. We had 2 days with a late flight home the day we were leaving. The staff could not have been more helpful and we really got the most out of a great cheap rate - 129 euro for the 2 of us including a massive breakfast and use of the pool & sauna. This hotel was a great value for the price. For 65 or 75 Euro (can't remember exactly) a night including breakfast, we figured it would be alright, but we were quite pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and polite and multilingual. Our room was comfortable and more than adequate. The breakfast was great- what a spread! It was a little bit out of the downtown, but not too far from a street-car line. I imagine a taxi wouldn't be too terribly expensive either. We loved Leipzig too- grea - Ian

We stayed two nights in August, 2 adult parents and 2 adult children. It is not easy finding a hotel in Europe to accommodate such a party at a reasonable price, but this was it. We also ate at the restaurant. Found everything about it to be quite satisfactory. The only drawback was the distance from the city center. We had to drive in, but parking at the train station was inexpensive and from there everything was accessible by foot. I would certainly stay here again provided I wanted the extra - Umberto

The hotel sits several km South of the city centre in a quiet location and is an extended villa with an underground carpark, a small garden and terrace adjacent to the dining "pavilion". First impressions were of a fairly standard business orientated hotel, but over two days, it really grew on us. There have been a few comments about peeling wallpaper, and the rooms in the eaves had got a a few cracks and maybe would benefit from a makeover in the coming years, but there was good spa - Adriana

I stayed at the Radisson blu in Leipzig for 6 nights (mix of business and then leisure time). I had a room on the front overlooking Augustusplatz and the Gewandhaus. The room was large and comfortable with twin beds and 2 easy chairs arranged to view the fat screen TV. The bathroom was divided into three areas with a rain shower in one, toilet in the other and basin etc in first. It was very stylish and the shower was fabulous.
