Nurnberg Hotels

We were visiting Nurnberg for the Christmas Markets. The location of Hotel Steichele was perfect for us. We were able to walk to the Christmas Markets, explore town and sites, and walk to the train station in a matter of minutes. Our hotel was on the third floor. The room size was adequate and was decorated in dark wood and warm color tones. There was plenty of closet and shelves to place our things. I didn't feel like we were living out of our suitcase. Very new hotel with nice contemporary décor. Our room (#530) was spacious, nice and clean. The reception staff was nice. The spa had nice warm seats in the relaxing area. We used the sauna, there was no pool. The hotel was about 5 blocks from the train station and about 8 blocks from the start of the city center and it was very safe to walk at night. - Michael

I have stayed in literally hundreds of small, budget European hotels and the Arthotel is one of the best values ever. It is super clean, tastefully decorated, and priced for budget travelers. The rooms are newly renovated. It is within walking distance of the old city and provides free parking for guests with cars. The owner speaks excellent English and could not be more helpful. A nice hotel located in a quite green place within the walking access to the city center. Big comfortable room, reasonable price, good breakfast, even a Russian speaking receptionist! Parking is available for free in front of the hotel (very few parking places) or for a fee in the courtyard. There is a biergarten located in the park nearby, so one can spend a good evening there drinking excellent Bavarian beer. My husband and I liked this hotel very much. The Grand Hotel is situated opposite the main train station. We drove there with our car and gladly used the extra hotel parking lane for checking in and then left the car keys at the reception for valet parking in a nearby garage. The lobby is really pretty and the staff was very helpful in giving us direction. We are spg gold members and received an upgrade to a bigger room. The rooms are newly renovated and we really liked the modern design and ameneties. We had an bottle of water for free wi - Belinda

Big, stylish and comfortable room with a wonderful breakfast. The location is also good, although not inside the old city. - Julie

This hotel is in a decent location, only two tram stops away from the Hauptbahnoff - however, there is not much in the area around the hotel. All the touristy sights are in the other direction, closer to the Hauptbahnoff. When we arrived our room was not ready so we checked our luggage and went out exploring. I really liked how the hotel locks your bags in a room and gives you baggage tags to retrive them later - I felt very confident that someone couldn't just walk by and walk off with our - Mrs

We just returned from a week's vacation in Germany. We were very happy staying at this property for one of the nights. It is a little hard to find, but there are directional signs as you enter the city. The rooms and hotel appear to be brand new. Everything was spotless. Service was fine at the front desk. Free internet/computer access. Did not use restaurant. - John

We stayed for seven nights at this hotel in September. We’d stayed here before – last December for a long weekend for the Christmas market, so we knew how good it was. We had a room on the sixth floor, which was very comfortable and mainly very quiet. However, on one weekend night, the people from the bar on the ground floor spilled outside and their gossiping and laughter carried upwards until around 2am. As the hotel doesn’t have air-con, we needed the window open and this might be more of - Betty

Overall we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at this hotel. The staff was wonderful and friendly, rooms were new, clean, and not too cramped. The breakfast in the morning had a very large assortment of fresh fruits, baked goods, and hot items. While there is no in-house restaurant to order room service from, the staff showed us a very extensive order-in menu which we used and found the food to be wonderful. You can order everything from curry to pizza to Chinese Food. The Best Wester - Samuel

I am not that easy to please, but this was a fabulous hotel. I sincerely recommend the Art Blue. The staff is amazing, always kind and ready to offer advice etc, the room with canal view was worth it. SO wonderful. Everything was clean, breakfast adequate, room beautifully decorated.
