Dusseldorf Hotels

From the outside it seems a bit quirky and it is. The bar area is small and almost part of the reception desk. You get in the elevator and think "oh dear". You get to your room and you think "wow!". I may have been lucky but my room was massive. A separate lounge, a huge bathroom, and a sizeable bedroom. The Japanese influence means bare floors, high tech lighting, TVs and a better CD player than I've got at home. Room was slightly warm and I couldn't find the remote for t - Sarah

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Eden Hotel Dusseldorf. We were very pleased with this hotel, The staff on the front desk are very friendly & helpfull. The room was on the small side but very clean & the bathroom was immaculate. The hotel has a good location, not far from the shopping area & only 10 mins from the busy old town. There are bars and resturants close by. Dusseldorf it's self is good for a week-end break with loads to see & do. Boat trips on the Rhein are - Adele

Location: 10 minutes walk to Kö through the nice Hofgarten park, tram stop only 200 m away (2 stops to go to the old town), U-Bahn stop. Wellness area. - Marco

We had an excellent rate (85 euro/night) including breakfast. Rooms were generous, front desk helpful and one of the nicest spreads for breakfast that we have encountered. would stay here again. The only annoying thing was that the internet was very expensive and there was no reason this day and age that it should not be included in the room rate. We found an internet cafe for .50 euros/hr. - Anthony

The Mercure's location is quite central, at only 5 min walk from the main train & metro station, about 10 min walk to the famous KO (the shopping street) and about 15 min walk to the Old Town. The bedrooms are standard European size. Some of the bathrooms are small, others are standard size. They have a proper hair dryer. Basic toiletries. Breakfast is superb. If Ana is on duty, try her omelettes - they are to dye for!. The breakfast buffet is well stocked, and there is a self service coff - Marilyn

Booked the BorsenHotel at the last minute before our transatlantic flight. Most hotels were very expensive because of the boat show, but we got the Borsen for 71 Euro. Requested twin beds, non-smoking online. When we arrived, they didn't ask for ID or a credit card. They just gave us a form to fill out. Breakfast was 11 euro extra, but we didn't take the offer. Check was fast, efficient and the receptionists all spoke English. The room was 114. 2 beds, non-smoking as requested. Bathroom - Isobel

We stayed in the Hotel Nikko as a night away for my Partners birthday and were so relaxed afrerwards, we didn't want to leave! The staff are very friendly and speak many languages between them, so was easy to communicate. Once checking in and finding our room, (which had a rather unfortunate view of the back of some other buildings but the room was lovely, Mini bar, very big with lovely big bed and Molten Brown products in bathroom) we headed down to the pool area in our complimentary bath ro - Derek

Value for money. The hotel was great and breakfast was great. The room was a bit small but that is probably usual for hotels in Europe. There was a tram stop very near. - Alison

Stayed in Stage 47 end of November for 3 nights. We booked a double room and got an extra bed put in as there were 3 of us. Our room was absolutely huge and had a mezzaine level which had the double bed upstairs. Room spotless, and they leave bottles of wine and glases for you (obviously you have to pay, but they're pretty cheap). Breakfast was excellent, full spread of cheeses, cold meats, smoked salmon, fruit, yoghurts, cereals, breads, cakes, bacon, eggs, juices etc. certainly filled us up be - Mark

From the moment I arrived (well before check-in time), I was made very welcome by the hotel staff. The single (twin) room was clean and most comfortable, especially at 49 euros per night. I did query the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but within ten minutes a kettle, milk, tea and coffee all arrived free of charge. The Hauptbahnhof is ideally situated for transport into the Altstadt and much further afield. Also useful for snacks and their supermarkt's offer goods at very re - Sebastian
