Berlin Hotels

We found the Hotel Melia Berlin well located and a very comfrotable place to spend five nights in Berlin. The room was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were diversifed, complete and tasty. The hotel is a block away from Museum Island and near, the German Historical Museum, Unter den Linden and the Gendenmarket and within walking distance of many other tourist sites in what was East Berlin/East Germany. The lobby is absolutely impressive, the bars and restaurants are always full with trendsetters and executives alike. The rooms are stylish and hip with all the comforts of an international luxury hotel; the service is great and the location cannot be be beaten. Stayed for 5 nights with party of 5 adults. The hotel is good value for money with very friendly staff, clean rooms and an excellent continental breakfast, which can be rather busy at times but not a great issue. Handy for main station 7 minute walk. If you like thai food you must try the Suksan Thai restaurant, turn right out of the hotel cross road and walk in the direction of the zoo. Pass by the fish restaurant and you will see the Suksan on Ansbacher Strasse. The food is to die for, as goo - Carolina

This is a clean, modern business hotel in an excellent location--very central to sites with Stadtmitte U-bahn station on the same block. Short walk to Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdamer Platz; longer walks or short metro ride to Brandenburg gate, Kreuzberg, pretty much any other site. We didn't have a computer with us, but used the 15 minutes of free time in the business center each of the three nights we were there. Stayed here for five nights. Selected a "business" class room. Very clean,comfortable,with an excellent bathroom. I believe basic rooms have not been upgraded and from photos on this web site are not a patch on the room we stayed in.Worth paying that little bit extra! Stayed on a room only basis. Tea coffee in the room and free use of the business lounge with tea coffe and free wi fi. Reception staff very nice and extremely helpful. Imbiss cafe at end of the street serves good contin - David

We only had one night in Berlin and booked this without knowing much about it in advance. We were pleasantly impressed all round. The staff were helpful, the standards high, there was parking though we were only minutes from Alexanderplatz. The room was very comfortable and above all quiet and restful, though we were in a central location, and the breakfast fine. What more could we ask? I liked a lot this hotel! Very clean (immaculate!), confortable beds, good position, good breakfast, polite staff. The design of the interiors follows the modern style, with the contrast between white, black and light brown. The architecture of the building seems to be a public institution or something like that before to be transformed in hotel, but the Duke Ellington theme put a cheer and sofisticate mark to the place.
