Bonn Hotels

My wife and I stayed three nights at the Garni and found it to be an extremely pleasant, friendly, family run hotel. The location is superb, just a two minute walk from Beethovens House and the town centre and 5 minutes from the Rhine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to when we left. The breakfast was superb, with a hot and cold buffet containing everything you could possibly want to eat and drink. Finally, the room. We do a lot of city trips and have sta - Anthony

This is a lovely hotel to stay in. Brill location in the marktplatz. Staff are very friendly - I've stayed there a few times, and they know me by name. Very good breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean, tv, fridge in room, etc. Included in the room rate is also access to the gym across the road, which has a sauna and steam room. Good value! I really love almost everything about this hotel - the only downside I found was the difficulty in getting hot water for my tea - I like having tea in the mornin - Barbara

My wife and I spent six nights in this wonderful hotel while meeting up with our daughter (who was finishing up a semester abroad in Bonn). It was situated in a perfect location for us as it was quiet and somewhat secluded (it is bordered by the Rhine, a city park and a huge university park), but it was still only a 5-8 minute walk to the Marketplatz and maybe 10-12 minutes to the heart of Bonn. We were very pleased with this hotel. We took in the night from saturday on sunday, the subway (Ubahn) is only a 2 minutes walk, and can take you directly to many museums. Despite it's in the city center the hotel is very quiet. Our room (nr. 301) was clean, not small and comfortable, and had a balcony. Breakfast was also good. But maybe the best thing about the hotel, is the very friendly staff. - Chris

I only stayed here 1 night when I went to see Joshua Kadison in concert and I wish I could have stayed longer. This hotel is simply beautiful. The room was almost as big as my flat and beautifully furnished. Loads of wardrobe space and seating, lovely bed, lovely bathroom. The staff were so helpful. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. There is also a frequent bus to the town centre. - Herbert

Great hotel right in the center. Get the airport bus 670 (3 an hour Monday - Friday, 2 an hour on Saturday and 1 an hour onSunday) to the central station, it takes about 20 minutes. The cost of the bus---- You have to buy a ticket for the machine next to the bus stop (6.20 Euro or 2.10 Euro per person), we were not sure which one to get so we bought ticket from the driver, who charged 6.20 Euro. On the way back to the Airport we bought a 2.10 Euro ticket for the machine which no one questioned. - Ron

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Continental for one night between Christmas and New Year's. The location is fabulous as it is about a 1 minute walk to Bonn's central train station. The room was good size, and it appeared to have gone through an upgrade recently. The furnishings were all new. The buffet breakfast was included in our room rate of 90 Euros. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially in our attempt to locate a good Chinese restaurant. - Richard

We stayed for 2 nights at the weekend and can only confirm all the accolades that have previously appeared. We also found the hotel clean,comfortable,welcoming,conveniently situated and with a friendly staff. As others have noted, breakfast could not be faulted, but not so far noted was the quality of the evening meal. We ate in L'Oliva on both evenings, and, no doubt because of the weekend, the dining room was quiet with only a small number of tables set. However, the quality of the food was ex - Dennis
