Hotels near Hamburg Fair

Transfer from Airport is good 10 minutes. Hotel is very corporate. Good size room. Nice Bar. Helpful staff, internet in reception. FANTASTIC Breakfast over looking the canal, great food and service. Walked to office which is large bonus. - Paul

I´ve been staying here many many time and always look forward to come back. The rooms are spacious, very comfy bed, CLEAN and nicely decorated. The staff are always helpful and very very serviceminded. Free wifi in the lobby area and in business center with computers. The best part is the fitness/relax area with sauna, solarium, workout area and a relax-lounge, I always find time to get down there. The hotel is a 30 min walk to the citycenter with all the shops and sights, but there is train rig - Julie

The hotel is in a historic building very close to the Dammtor bahnhof. In the six stories of the building five different hotels are located. Hotel Amsterdam is on the ground and second floor. My double room, booked as a single (#2) was decently sized, with wooden floor, yellow walls and a kind of "Old England" theme. Bathroom is a bit small, but new and clean. A lovely hotel, very well situated. The building houses 5 hotels and each occupies a different floor. I am unsure as to whether or not there were any interlinkages. The hotel is not fancy but the staff are helpful and very friendly. The rate included a breakfast that was more than adequate and my room was up a flight of stairs under the eaves. This hotel is located west of the city center but close to a metro station (1-2 blocks). The area to the west contains many popular bars and restaurants, and is one of the "hip" areas of Hamburg according to a trusted local. The price is good and the suite containing a combined bar/living area and bedroom was larger than expected. The clerks at the desk were helpful and fluent in English. A much better value than more expensive hotels located closer to the river. - Damien

this hotel is brilliant, location fantastic, room was beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. i love this place and have stayed here about 6 times and in fact have booked for december - which is great in hamburg. bank holiday weekend in august is also lovley - especially for the Alsta Festival. i can not reccommend this hotel enough. - Janice

I stayed at the Grand Elysee because of its proximity to the Hamburg congress centre and I was impressed in every way. The room was very spacious, bright and elegant. The beds must have been new and very very comfortable. There is free cable internet and a nice size desk, which is very convenient if you're there on a work trip. The spa was also nice, it's great being able to swim a few lenghts in the pool after a long day. The buffet breakfast is amazing - an endless selection of warm and c - David

This hotel was VERY clean with comfortable beds and spacious rooms! The breakfast was included in our rate & was YUMMMMMY! I would definitely stay here again! There is a train stop at the corner that takes you directly to the city center in 10 minutes! The only down side is the internet is not included, you must pay for WLAN access - Shaun
