The location is superb, just off La Ramblas. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and able to answer any questions we had. The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean. We were at the front of the hotel, so we had a small balcony overlooking the street. There is a lift, essential for people like me who have difficulty with stairs.

Hotel Condal is located in the heart of the La Rambla. It is so convenient to walk 30m and then to enter the La Rambla. The many restaurants, shops and attractions in close proximity of the hotel is a bonus. The reception of the hotel is very helpful, knowledgeable,efficient and available 24hr. Location, location, location. As all the travel guides say, you must get one of the rooms with a tiny balcony overlooking the square. Fabulous ever changing show to watch from the room, not noisy during normal sleeping hours. In the heart of the old city, yet tucked away. We walked everywhere. Helpful, friendly, efficient staff. Great hot water.

Location is fantastic - just on Ramblas, very close to the metro station (Drassanes) . Gothic quarter just around the corner, and so also Palacio Guell. Cathedral 10 minutes walk from the Hotel.
Staff was very helpful.
The room was quite spacious and reasonably clean.
Breakfast reasonably good.
Overall, I think that we got our money worth.

Hotel Fornos biggest advantage is the l-o-c-a-t-i-o-N. Situtated 10
M. from the Rambla and 10 M. from the clasy and cool Plaza Real I
wouldn't swith Fornos for another hotel. The interior of the room
is a bit old, looks like from the 80's or so but who cares as
long as you are in the middle of the action. The receptionists are
cool, kind and fun.

It was amazing, great view, awesome room (two balconies at a room of three beds), a nice and warm welcoming, situated in a very good location, very accessible from all points of view. We loved it, we recommend it and we are looking forward to return.

The room was small (perfect for a young couple) but everything seemed new and very clean. We had a small balcony off our room which was lovely and let lots of sunlight in. I was impressed by the quality for how much we paid. Great location for tourist attractions and just for wandering. Convenient underground parking garages close by. -

Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Lovely architecture, marble winding staircase and old wooden doors, clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. TV on the wall. Lots of information available about Barcelona. Shared bathroom wasn't such an issue for a short stay (1 night).
