  The location was brilliant - the best of both worlds, close to a great beach and just a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful, room wonderful with incredibly comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Buffet lunch and bar snacks at hotel quite expensive but check out Cafe Genis just a few metres away - very good quality ... what people say » food and excellent value for money. - Everything was excellent. Hotel is situated near the beach and not far from city center. Room was nicely decorated, especially we liked bathroom design. The internet has always worked well. The staff were always very helpful, friendly and attentive. It was perfect, spotlessly clean, light, not noisy. They cleaned the room several times a day.   The hotel is excellent. It has a prepared and kind staff. Its location was excellent for us because we were attending a conference in ccib. The beaches are near there and we just walk to them. The hotel is close to a metro station (it is easy to go to the town). We certainly would wish to go back to the Diagonal Zero Hotel and rec - This hotel is in a good location for access to the Grand Prix circuit - on the outskirts of Barcelona, with easy access via metro to the centre and a walk across the road to a decent beach. Parking is good in the underground car park. The hotel is modern and reasonably well equipped - the rooms (lighting, heating) are 'run' by a software interface screen in each room. Our Exec room was large enough and well designed. The bar Tapas was pretty good too. The staff were friendly and helpful.

  My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city.
