  Overall, we had a great vacation and we enjoyed our stay at Castro . the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to offer help and answer our questions, perfect place for families, the location is perfect near two metro stations, we loved it and I recommend this for families. - Great place!   It was right in the middle of the city and herself was delighted as it was on one of the main streets with all the famous Spanish retailers.   The Catalonia Avinyo's staff called us a day ahead, informing that Catalonia Avinyo was fully booked so we were changed to another hotel in the same network called "Catalonia Port" and I really recommend this hotel!! Very new, very clean, very comfortable!! and it's near the port and Columbus Monument. That's mean you can start walking from the beg... what people say » inning of La Rambla!! and it's near the metro.. - What a gem! Catalonia Avinyo is a great place to stay while in Barcelona. The modern decor make it very comfortable and chic. Also, it has an excellent location. Very near everything. If you are a first time tourist or a frequent visitor you will be satisfied with this hotel. An added bonus is the restaurante across from the hotel El Gran, it is wonderful!
