It was right in the middle of the city and herself was delighted as it was on one of the main streets with all the famous Spanish retailers. Even when we slept in, somebody remembered to come and clean our room in the evening and they had spare adapters for UK and Irish plugs at the front desk. very effiecient staff. wonderful room, great access for city centre sights, tour bus stop just outside, easy to find, short walk from Placa Catalunya and airport bus stop.

Quiet , great location within walking distance of of center, staff friendly, helpfull and efficent. the location! just at the begining of la rambla. Rooms are spacious. Very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning did not work very well in our room.My window looked directly into someone's apartment. Internet was not great in the rooms (wifi, but weak signal and had to relogin to the site all the time).Internet facilities out of order all week. No balcony. Rooms were quite small and the view out the window was a brickwall.Smoking was allowed inside. Mattress ridiculously hard. bedspreads and throw pillows were stained> although the bed sheets and pillow cases were clean. Very expensive prices at the bar. The staff at reception was extremly helpless. The pool is not cleaned. The climate control is too noisy.aircondition was unbearable !! they changed our room 4 times !! . everything was very good.Bed was hard, no duvet. room was very noisy - people upstairs /along corridor walking on tile floors; no heating in room - air con faulty. ther was suposed to be a gym, but it was 2 bycicles and 1 treadmill, tucked away in the basement... ther was suposed to be a bathtub in every room and i only had a shower... In the bathroom durring the night I see bugs...And the noise from corridors was impossible in the evening and early morning....the sound isolation of the walls was verry inneficient . You could here every person was passing on the corridor especialy if was wearring high hills...After 2 days the wireless stopped working. I informaed the hotel staffabout it, but they could not fix the problem during the next 3 days!.

The hotel Catalonia Ramblas is located in the historic centre of Barcelona, few metres away from la Plaza de Catalunya and the famous Ramblas.
Housed in the former head office of the newspaper “La Vanguardia”, the hotel is a beautiful modernist building dating back to the beginning of the XIX century and designed by Josep Majó Ribas.

Without a doubt, its zone of Spa and Relax as well as its swimming pool located in the inner patio, will delight those who wish to relax after an intense day of work or tourist visit.

The hotel completes its offer with 9 diaphanous meeting rooms to celebrate any event, 2 Mediterranean cuisine restaurants, a bar and a fitness room.

Important information to guests

When booking more than 4 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. Once the reservation is made, the hotel will get in touch with the customer to agree on how to prepare the prepayment. The swimming pool is open from Easter until October. Please note that it is not heated. Please note that only 1 pet, dogs or cats under 20 kg, are allowed in the hotel and upon prior request. A supplement of EUR 10 per night per pet will be applied; and a deposit of EUR 200 is required upon arrival for incidentals.
