The transfer to and from the airport was easy and cheap as the hotel is directly opposite a RENFE station. Hotel spotless with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Inclusion of a very substantial breakfast made the booking even better value.

  My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city.   The size of the single beds were brilliant. My friend and I shared a room for econemy reasons, so to find 3/4 beds made our stay more comfortable - convenient, modern, clean and had huge rooms. Very friendly staff

The staff were really friendly and helpful,our double room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with en suite including wall hair dryer and the option to have towels changed daily or to re-use. We stayed for a cold 5 days in February but the room air conditioning served very well as a heater as you were able to programme t... what people say » o whatever temperature you required. Breakfast was fine but the coffee was machine coffee, however the dining area leads on to the public restaurant/c - The location was wonderful. Had very close access to everything we wanted to do and see. You could have an inexpensive quick meal or sit down for a more elegant dining experience and all within a two minute walk. The staff was wonderfully helpful and competent. Santiago was a tremendous help to me when I was have some trouble with my airline. Everything is easily within walking distance. All in all it was a great location. We did have a room that did not face the street so we slept comfortably
