I needed a last minute hostel and chose this one, in an 8 bed female
room but I was lucky because there were only 2 of us in the room. Maybe
with a packed room, it wouldn´t have been as good because beyond the
dorm room, 4 other people must pass through because there are 2 other
private rooms, and all of us would in theory have to share 2 toilets

Wonderful stay. Central location in the beautiful and charismatic Gothic quarter, walking distance to Las Ramblas and the beach.Very friendly owners, provided with useful information and map. Also requested flight details so could greet us when we arrived, and provided very useful directions and map from Airport. Also free Wifi. Would highly recommend Mapamundo, thanks for a loverly hostel.

When I arrived at the hostel at night was so sleepy that I just wanted to sleep. And it was one of the quietest nights of my life: absolute silence in the room female (100% full). Note the cleanliness and consistency of Frank, the guy in charge of cleaning it every morning telling us jokes and drew a smile to us throughout our stay in this hostel.

Staff very friendly, they help you with any questions and organize activities for you to have fun in your stay. Ah! They dinners and meals at the same hostel for little money ... is terrific! The other guest are nice, friendly, and respectful. I stayed for 5 nights and never had troubles getting to sleep.
