  Very chic hotel with fancy decoration - only paid 105 € a night for a single room in august 2008 - quite cheap - chic area with nice boutiques and restaurant plus near to Alster Lake - Gorgeous view from our room over the breakfast patio. Quiet at night, amazing location on the lake. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and always answered yes (... what people say » with a smile) to our tentative "Sprechen Sie Englisch?".

  If you have business with the University Clinic-it is ideal. If you visit Hamburg, it is also fine, as it is located close to trendy Eppendorf. It wasn't overly big, but it was comfortable enough. The bed was particularly comfortable.
