  great location...short walking distance to French Quarter as well as any other area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and would definitely stay again. - Spaciousness of the hotel! Location is good! Far enough away from the noise of the quarter, but close enough to get there in minutes!

  I loved everything about this hotel. The staff were "Disney- friendly" and sincere. The bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I loved the elegance without being overly "froo- froo:. The housekeeping was very quick (almost too quick) when I asked for more towels (I hadn't finished dressing, figuring it would take a half hour o... what people say » r so to get my towels...lol) The price, with a little help from letsbookhotel.com, was affordable. The view was spectacular of the French Quarter and - I really loved the Hotel and where it was located. The breakfast buffet was delicious. My Aunt & I stayed on the 20th floor and had a great view of the Mississippi River. Easy access to the River Walk, Street Cars, Harrah's Casino and, Bourbon Street which we loved... being that this was a leisure trip/ b-day celebration

  We came from a cruise and it was Madi Gras weekend so the city was more than crowded. The minute we walked into the lobby we were made to feel at home. Staff was incredible the location could not have been better and the rooms were great. After being on the ships cots the beds were amazing. The hotel is on the parade routes for Mardi Gras and St. Patricks Day. The entire staff was great, from the front desk to the valet and cleaning staff. They were all very pleasant - Great decor, great comfort, divinely comfortable beds, very clean, sound-proof, excellent breakfast, easy parking, friendly staff. Good location in garden district, on the trolley line and near Magazine street but a car is reommended if you are going to the Quarter or Marigny.

  I stayed on the Pontchartrain during early December 2013. My room was nicer than what I expected. Various internet reviews of the hotel were discouraging; however, I found my room to be (for the $$) large, recently updated, clean, and outfitted with a comfortable bed, sitting room furniture, fridge, mircowave, and a large flat screen tv in the sit... what people say » ting area. Should I visit the Garden District of nola again, I will choose this hotel. Btw, the hotel staff are very charming and helpful! - The hotel is located in a nice quiet area and by nice restaurants. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful stuff Hotel itself is very historical and interior will take you at least a century back. I could recommend it for special events as well if you are looking for a charming atmosphere.
