  I've traveled to Dubai on many occasions but have always stayed with family. This was the first time we chose to stay at a hotel, and I must say choosing Ocean View Hotel was a good decision. I read many reviews (mostly positive) before booking the Superior double room with sea-view (breakfast included), and I think all our expectations were perfe... what people say » ctly met. The facilities in the hotel were just right for what we were looking for on our holiday. I've stayed at 5 star hotels that don't deserve to - I had a superb stay, from the check in at 1030 am, they already have my booking slip and have my room ready, while we are checking in they offered us towels to freshen up, juices and cookies. When we get inside the room, everything is what I have expected, the ocean view is serene. We had a room service and they delivered our food on the rack to keep it hot. My husband likes the gym so much. They offer you good towels in the gym and in the pool (no need to be carrying your towel from the room).

  This is the perfect oasis away from the high rise buildings of Dubai. The hotel is calm, quiet and well laid out. Staff are efficient and extremely attentive without being in the way. Close to the airport but no discernable aircraft noise and you can reach most Dubai attractions within 30 mins - taxis are plentiful and pretty cheap. I loved being close to City Centre and a metro (I often just did the 15 minute walk, as I liked going through the golf course area with birds).   The Jumeirah always does it right, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you feel very well taken care of. The hotel was beautiful, the beds fantastic, the access to their other hotel beaches and Wild Wadi is an added bonus. The curtains opened from the phone which provided endless entertainment, there was a DVD player, the mini bar ... what people say » (sans alcohol) was free. Breakfast was great and the hospitality is always wonderful at Jumeirah hotels. I wish they could all be like this. - The staff were amazing. The hotel is less then one year old and is spotless, although you get the impression that it will stay that way forever as the staff are constantly cleaning. The location is nearer Dubai old town with the many souks etc. It is part of the Jumeirah chain so you can use Jumeirah beach hotel, madinat, WIld Wadi etc for free.
