Dubai 4* star Hotels

Visited the hotel for a week for a family holiday end February 2009. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the Jumeirah Beach / Palm Jumeirah and 5 minutes from Emirates Mall, in a business area next to Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Barsha, an area that is still heavily under construction. We stayed in a 3-bedroom family suite on the 7th floor. The sounds from the construction work around the hotel did not disturb inside. Stayed here in April 2009 (been meaning to write a review for ages). We arrived at the hotel after an overnight flight from the UK, (9am) and were able to check in almost immediately. Our "classic" room on the 2nd floor was very large, had all the features I would expect from the Sheraton brand, and was perfect for a couple. We enjoyed all the facilites at the hotel, including the pool and gym. Staff service is OUTSTANDING!! - probably better than any 5* hotel I've stayed at. The be - Rachel

We have been to Dubai before but as we were only stying one night we thought we would stay somewhere closer and more convenient. We had checked out LetsBookHotel as we always do and thought we'd try it based on the comments. It was outstanding value! The layout of the rooms is a little quirky with the bathtub in the centre - but hey wot fun! All the staff were so helpful and obliging. I stayed at this hotel for three weeks on business and it was the highlight of my trip. I was originally staying in neighbouring Sharjah but feeling uncomfortable there as a sole female, I opted to stay in Dubai and commute to Sharjah each day. The time spent commuting was well worth it considering that the staff could not have done more to make me feel more at home and relaxed. We stayed here en-route home from Oz and we cannot see what people are complaining about (they must usually stay at Buckingham palace!!) Agreed this hotel is a little out of the way (very near to Burg Dubai tower) but they have a shuttle bus and its' free. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly/helpful. The restaurants are excellent> the downside is very expensive wine @£35 a bottle & beer @ £7 pint !! there are indeed a few 'ladies of the night' later on in the Rattlesnake but th - Farhad

We spent 6 nights at the Sheraton Deira. All of the staff were very friendly. Our room requests were granted and we had a great time in this lovely hotel. We all now have post holiday blues and cant wait to go back next year. - Karen

I agree with the comments that this is NOT a five star hotel!! However, we were given FIVE star treatment throughout!! We arrived six hours before we were due to be given our room, but they decided to release the room early and upgrade us. The room service was very good and we were replenished with water every day. If requested they gave us additional water. The cleaning was excellent and the beds were extremely comfortable. Yes, i agree that the breakfast could become repetitious, but for a sho - Kieran

Me and my friend stayed at the hotel for 4 nights for a short break in Dubai. We were two females and so wanted a secure place in a good location. In a nutshell the hotel was a perfect base to explore the city. The hotel was a 10-15 min drive from the airport and taxi drivers never had a problem finding the property. Check-in was very smooth and our twin room was ready for us on arrival. Staff were always very polite. The hotel has a rooftop pool and a pool bar with amazing views of the c - Richard

Undoubtedly the best value for money four star hotel anywhere in Dubai. A prompt air port pick-up, smooth check in with efficient and helpful reception staff immediately gave us a good feeling that here was a hotel where the entire staff really do go that extra mile to make you feel ‘at home’ from the moment you walk into the foyer. The room was more than spacious enough, tastefully furnished throughout, a large bathroom with Jacuzzi type bath….in fact everything we needed, or was ever likely - Michael

Stayed one night on route Auckland to UK - after having terrible experience at the Hilton Jumeriah Beach on the way out. What a difference!! Friendly staff - who couldn't do enough - small but quiet rooftop pool, great hotel restaurants - fab rooms & hotel decor, and very reasonable room rates including breakfast buffet. This hotel is 7 minute taxi from airport and walking distance (2 x blocks behind hotel) to local restaurants, shops & cafes. Having been a Hilton customer for years - Lynda
