We were in Dubai and looking for a hotel for 10 nights. When we walked into the Taj Palace Hotel we decided to stay there if the price was right. The price was right - 650 Dhs (£110) a night including breakfast. And what a breakfast!! - everything from smoked salmon to curry!! We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon; the Desert Palm Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with great customer service. On arrival we were provided with a room to rest and shower as our suite was not ready (we arrived before check in) which was really nice of the hotel to do! When our room was ready it was well worth the wait, the hotel had provided complimentary champagne and a cheese platter for us which was a lovely welcome, the suite was beautifully furnished, and the view fro - Fred

I stayed in the Tower in a three + bedroomed apartment with friends and 2 children. I have to say I couldnt fault it on any grounds. 100% clean and service was tip top. We had a sea view and the Palm Beach resort was only a stones throw away. The only mild problem was all the construction work around Dubai although I cant say we were really bothered or inconvenienced by it. The amenities of the nearby hotel are available for guests in the apartments including the pool, bar and restaurants. G - Dave

We were in this hotel apartment for almost two weeks in August 09. We would like to say it was the best hotel with plently of facilities, eg: high quality equipment,excellent service,very friendly management and reception,clean spacious rooms, very good kitchen facility, very useful transfer from airport to hotel and vise versa, family friendly and finally we enjoyed our stay and had a great time and we would like to go back to this hotel on our next visit to Dubai. Stayed here in April 2009 (been meaning to write a review for ages). We arrived at the hotel after an overnight flight from the UK, (9am) and were able to check in almost immediately. Our "classic" room on the 2nd floor was very large, had all the features I would expect from the Sheraton brand, and was perfect for a couple. We enjoyed all the facilites at the hotel, including the pool and gym. Staff service is OUTSTANDING!! - probably better than any 5* hotel I've stayed at. The be - Rachel

T’was my first time in Dubai and my friend told me about this newly established hotel apartment, which is located near the mall of emirates (more or less 5 mins. walk)—very accessible and I’m kinda intrigued what the apartment looks like. So there I went to Star Metro Al Barsha and was pretty satisfied with the room and end up spending a week there. Everything is okay. I honestly felt like I'm not away from home because it feels like I am home. Everything that I needed was there be it spoon and - Helen
