Sharjah Hotels

Stayed for a week in an executive room at Holiday Inn Sharjah, Second visit to the hotel, it is centrally located in Sharjah very close to the Lagoon. The hotel is tucked away off King Faisal Street. May be difficult to find first time around. As noted before, the lobby is on the 3rd floor. Check-in was fairly smooth, our room was on 11th floor and overlooked the lagoon. I stayed in this hotel twice this year, 5 nights at beginning of Feb and 5 nights over Easter. The hotel is located overlooking the lagoon, the windows in the rooms are huge ( floor to ceiling) so you have a fantastic view if you are staying in the rooms facing, although, room standards are the same throughout, excellent. Very efficient and relaxed environment, although its a business type of hotel, there are many guests staying for leisure, there are two pools, a spa, a gym, restaurants. There - Scott

We spent 1 week on the beach in Sharjah. We found this hotel on the Internet and took a chance. Well, what a good choice. If you're looking for excitement...forget it! But sand, sea and relaxation...this is the place. Our room was humongous...ceramic tiles on the floor, queen-size bed, with a (dry) bar, large patio doors opening up onto a balcony overlooking the largest swimming pool in the UAE. Although I have visited Sharjah before, I had never tried the Rotana. Whilst not the most glit\zy hotel in the region, the endless kindness of the staff more than made up for this. This hotel is extremely good value for money. The free bus rides to Dubai and the beach saved me a lot. This hotel has a lovely feeling about it. All the staff I met genuinely seem to care about the guests and consistently went out of their way to make sure I had a wonderful time. I did, which is not always the cas - Carol

I stayed at the Sharjah Premiere hotel, with my husmand and his mother in April 2008. The hotel is far from the city centre, but we rent a car in the first day for whole stay, so it was fine. But without car you have to go always with taxi cca 20 minutes. Taxi is no expencsive in Emirates. The beach is cca 200 metres fro the hotel, you have cross the street and go to another hotel. I stayed three nights in the hotel during July 2008. We were picked up from Dubai airport in the late evening - no problem at all. The driver was waiting for our party and we were taken to the hotel in an airconditioned bus. I got a room on the 7th floor, overlooking the lagoon. I even had a balcony but due to the weather and the heat, the doors to the balcony were shut and you couldn't access it. So I just could overlook it from inside.
