  This hotel was a great value for the money. It was clean, refurbished, friendly staff, centrally located, gay-friendly, etc. Particularly liked the free Internet and computer in the room itself. Would recommend it! - The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free internet access was a good point

  The hostal is great: the location, the room, the price, everything. I would really recommend it. The only problem is the fact the there is no elevator access to the 4th floor (even though the rooms in such floor are the newest and, consequently, the best ones). Anyway, ou just have to climb the stairs from 3rd to 4th floor: no big deal. It is worth... what people say » while doing. - I had such a nice stay at the hotel Persal (from 16th to 18th January 2009) with some friends of mine and we've all been really satisfied: gorgeous location, spotless, comfortable and nice rooms. The breakfast was definitely acceptable (filling anyway) and included in the rate: 180€ per a double-bed room per two nights, in the heart of Madrid! Cool!!

  The hotel is located in the center of the city only a short two blocks from the Sol Metro station. We could walk to the major areas of interest and the Atocha train station (cab with luggage). There are dozens of tapas bars near the hotel. Finding "sit down" dinner restaurants was tougher but when we did the food was excellent. The hotel staff ... what people say » was very helpful and courteous. - It was very comfortable indeed, in the heart of Madrid, with an excellent cafe for breakfast in the hotel itself. In addition, the price for the room represented excellent value for money and if the hotel had not been fully-booked, we would have stayed longer at it.

  The architecture, decor, imaginative aesthetic were fabulous. The staff were courteous and helpful. The owner, in particular, was welcoming and charming--he has a real vision. - The location was paramount, just around the corner from our daughter's address.
