  This hotel was a great value for the money. It was clean, refurbished, friendly staff, centrally located, gay-friendly, etc. Particularly liked the free Internet and computer in the room itself.   Good location near the Palaces, Opera and Plaza Mayor but on a quietish side street. Good sized pleasant room. Worth going to for the amazing breakfast selection alone. - The staff was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely perfect location if you want to do sigh seeings. Close to variouse restaurants and pub.

  It was central in Madrid- within walking distance of many of the main tourist sites .But the best thing about the hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful at all times. One of the reception staff even phoned her mother who was taking part in a procession for holy week to see where it was so we could go and watch. By means of public transport everything can be reached easily. Big room with huge beds and a large balcony. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful to all your requests (even after paying the hotel bill). The buffet breakfast is very good, you can have whatever you want. The waiters are exceptionally nice.

  Everything was top class, location, comfort, facilities, staff. Only discomfort would be smoking allowed in hotel bar, and indeed most of the restaurants/bars are still smoking zones. - Good central location, but at the same time very quiet. Comfortable room, helpful staff.

  The location to all the places i wanted to go was very central - The room was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly, I would go there again. It was well situated, a few streets up there is a good shopping street (Madrid version of Camden).

The only problem is the fact the there is no elevator access to the 4th floor (even though the rooms in such floor are the newest and, consequently, the best ones). Anyway, ou just have to climb the stairs from 3rd to 4th floor: no big deal. It is worth... what people say » while doing. - I had such a nice stay at the hotel Persal (from 16th to 18th January 2009) with some friends of mine and we've all been really satisfied: gorgeous location, spotless, comfortable and nice rooms. The breakfast was definitely acceptable (filling anyway) and included in the rate: 180€ per a double-bed room per two nights, in the heart of Madrid! Cool!!

  The hotel is located in the center of the city only a short two blocks from the Sol Metro station. We could walk to the major areas of interest and the Atocha train station (cab with luggage). There are dozens of tapas bars near the hotel. Finding "sit down" dinner restaurants was tougher but when we did the food was excellent. In addition, the price for the room represented excellent value for money and if the hotel had not been fully-booked, we would have stayed longer at it.
