The locality. It is perfect. It is by Plaza Catalunya-the heart of the city. I never needed to use the taxi. Everything was close by-Plaza Catalunya was a 5 min walk, the metro was a 5 min walk, the bus stop was a 5 step walk, Las Ramblas was a 10 min walk away. The rooms were 4 star quality. As we arrived to the hotel the people were really very helpful and friendly. Actually we had some problems with our airplane about our packages, they really helped us and kept us relaxed with a free breakfast. the location of the hotel was excellent. It was in a street which was almost in the middle of the La Rambla.
The hotel was clean enough and safe because they were not letting everybody to enter to the hotel you have to ring the bell to enter day and night. The Liceu metro station was 3 minutes far from the hotel. They have recommended a restaurant

Hesperia is a great hotel to stay in if you want to fall out of bed into the bustle of Barcelona life. It is perfectly located for the fabulous Bouqueria Market, shopping, tapas and bars. Hotel is simply great! Breakfast is great! Room spacious and clean. Location, shops/ restaurants and even Carrefour by walking distance. My Hubby was like Uh-oh, too convenience for a shoppng spree! Central location, walk two blocks to University Metro stop and you can go just about anywhere. 24 hour front desk support. Wireless internet for a very reasonable fee. Very clean and quiet room, as advertised. Requested change of sheets after 3 days, else housekeeping was superb. Didn't try the restaurant. - Central location, spacious room.
