  They had free wi-fi - it didn't work at first but was fixed quickly. The location is excellent - in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg close to Kastanienallee and many cafés and restaurants. In my opinion this is the nicest area to stay in Berlin - and I know what I'm talking about, I used to live there. - The best Ferienapartment in Berlin that I have... what people say » ever used.   This was a fabulous small hotel in the heart of a great neighbourhood of Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg. Unbelievable location in quiet area yet steps from the hip shops and cafes in this great area. The room was huge and fantastic with two big bathrooms. Breakfast was great! Loved the lobby, and the entrance to the hotel, and pretty much everything... what people say » about it! - Comprehensive breakfast everyday - excellent! Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Shower room well kitted out with new fittings - brilliant shower! Good travel connections. Good restaurants in locality.

  Being a hostel as well as a hotel, this hotel is more suited to groups and young couples, although people of all ages were staying there. The price was excellent for the quality of the rooms.   The location was good, just a little out of the heart of the city. There was plenty of room to move around. Everyone on the staff spoke fluent English. Best food is two streets behind the hotel. Not a great selection on the main street. But found plenty of great food two blocks behind the hotel. Also, I loved being in Prenzlauer Berg close to great shops, restaurants, etc. It is conveniently located to Alexanderplatz, but not too close that the Chaos from that comes near by. You can take the tram 3 stops or walk there. Beautiful light, comfortable studio! I wish I had an apt. like this in Berlin. :)

  We loved the location. We stayed at the Lichener location and it was in the heart of a lot of action, but quiet due to the enclosed court yard.
