My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, for a pension in the city center. There were even two live plants in the room. We've paid 75 Euros for the double room with private shower/WC during the Opera festival which is a great deal for Altstadt. If you don't want the dull continental breakfast, go to Segafredo café on Rosenthal 1 (outside terrace facing market square).

  We are senior couple and prefere to stay close to the downtown, so that to be able to return home in the afternoon and relax for a while to be ready for further explorations. This hotel was just perfect from this view point. It is small. homy and quiet. It's such a pleasure to wake up not because of the street noises, but birds' singing!
