  We booked two appartments and both were very well equiped, clean and large enough for young people to hang out. I recommend this accommodation a lot. The staff was friendly. Prepare 10€ for deposit for a key and be aware of the fact that you will not be able to smoke neither in the room nor in the yard. But that does not matter so much.   This was a fabulous small hotel in the heart of a great neighbourhood of Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg. Unbelievable location in quiet area yet steps from the hip shops and cafes in this great area. The room was huge and fantastic with two big bathrooms. Breakfast was great! Loved the lobby, and the entrance to the hotel, and pretty much everything... what people say » about it! - Comprehensive breakfast everyday - excellent! Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Shower room well kitted out with new fittings - brilliant shower! Good travel connections. Good restaurants in locality.

  I do not normally blog about hotels. But Matiss was a superb host, the apartment was clean, stunning, secure (4 bolted doors to access), a gorgeous little courtyard. It was basic, but at £50 a day for your own place what do you expect, had a small kitchen, bathroom, when we ran out of linen (wet towels) Matiss dropped more. 2 stops from the centra... what people say » l Alexander Platz, and a few mins walk from the nearest tube station. Fantastic. Matiss was always at the end of the phone to help, top guy and top tr - The apartment was clean, tidy, newly renovated, ver well designed, in short, the reality totally reflected the photos on the web-site. THe room smelled fresh, neat and tidy, the location was also very good, close to UBahn, with a supermarket in 2mins walk. The apartment had a tiny kitchen for cooking, which I never used, but if you are travelling with friends, it may come handy. The yard is closed, so it is really very safe and very quiet.

  The apartment owner was easy to contact and very helpful. You could see part of the Berlin Wall from the bedroom windows. Good location for transport links as near tube station and tram stop. Free wifi. Quiet location. - Very close to center.

  Very close to the subway station. Hostel wasn`t busy. - Wi-fi. Thanks God. But only at the reception desk. Everybody speaks english, it's good. Some restaurants're nearby hotel. Comfortable shower room. U can rent bikes.

  The location is great and pretty much historic - Schwarzkopfstrasse, Friedrichstrasse, the hotel is just 2-2.5 km from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor. Very nice service, exceptionaly clean rooms.   If you want a clean modern room on a budget it was very good although if you are looking for a social aspect wouldn't recommend. - Good location, walking distance to Alexanderplatz, Museum Insel, etc also U-Bahn station Bernauerstrasse. Room was not overlooking street, so in a quiet position looking onto a small, albeit scruffy, garden/courtyard.
