I loved the location being at Washington Square. We walked to dinner each night at small ethnic restaurants. The free breakfast was a great addition- coffee was very good. Loved the look and style of the hotel. Staff was amazing and VERY accommodating. After traveling to NYC for years and staying in Midtown - this was so much more fun and the room was the quietest I have ever had and the bed was comfortable. Cant wait to go back to the villag

  From the moment we arrived to when we left everything was just perfect. We drove to nyc and we were pleasantly greeted immediately. The staff was warm and welcoming. Our room on the 11 th floor was perfect. Just enough room. Great design and spotless! I give this hotel an a+. The location is great, close to east village and soho! The location is great because the subway is just a block north of the hotel and it is in the heart of a revitalized district of of New York.   This was my second stay at The Bowery and I still love it. You really feel like you are in NY not the tourist version of NY that you see on TV (if that makes sense). The location of the hotel is perfect for my needs. If shopping is your thing, then you are within walking distance of Soho. There are loads of great bars and restaurants within wal... what people say » king distance but if you don't feel like venturing out then you should find something in the lobby menu or Gemma to satisfy your gastronomical desires - Iove how close hotel is to my daughters apt and many great restaurants. I loved the view out my window of buildings and empire state bldg. I just love the Bowery. This is our place from now on!!! Will bring my husband in Oct. love your employees. Very genuine. Fun to see a celebrity now and then but most of all how they can be just people like the rest of us while relaxing and not having attention brought to them. Good job!!! GREAT HOTEL!!!

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, and we did not feel out of place with our 4 boys aged 11-20. It was expensive, but then everything in New York is expensive! How is that five star hotels still can't understand to threat guest as individuals? When you have answered the same standard questions if everything is great a hundreds times from every staff in just a four day short visit, it becomes less funny. Different individuals are intresting, perfect robotized hotels are not.

The service was great, staff were friendly; there were some people who truly stood out Gabriella at the front desk and her manager (whos name I do not recall) who personally ran up to our room to move the champagne and chocolates (which they very kindly gave us as an anniversary present) to our new upgraded r... what people say » oom, which we loved. Such a lovely touch, it was very much appreciated and immediately kicked off the weekend in birthday celebration mode.

We went to celebrate my partners 30th and they help arrange champagne and chocolate Strawberries for our arrival in the room and managed to upgrade us and give us an early check in. When it came to leaving as we wasn't able to get back to ou - Loved the convenience of the drive up and valet, although $50 wa a little expensive. $265 room with 2 lunch salads and 1 small pot of coffee and a bottle of water (room service) and valet put the room charge to $460. Ended up being pretty expensive for one night. We may consider staying again, but more expensive than we expected.
