at all times and we liked the 24hr reception desk which made us feel

The hotel is quirky - but very nicely so. The decor of old Spainish tiles in an ancient convent provides a comfortably and interesting historical ambiance. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the buffet breakfast is amongst the best we have enjoyed. Being only one hundred metres from the cathedral in the Santa Cr us district is a real bonus. The location, room itself, bathroom and services were excellent, itwas the only hotel I've ever seen that had a laptop inside the roomconnected to the internet 7/24 and for free. Actually after the first night, I wanted to leave but my wife convinced me to use ear plugs. And we stayed 4 nights even though the room was small. But the hotel is a typical charming little cozy building, at the entrance of the great Santa Cruz sector, a walking distance to the Cathedral and just above a lively resto, pub and street. So expect noise at night.

Fanastically helpful, welcoming staff. Lovely tiled entrance / reception. Very comfy, spacious beds and a sitting room - more than we needed for such a short stay. Outstanding value for money. Disagree with someone's comment about the breakfast - there was ample choice and lots of it. We had a fabulous weekend and look forward to returning. -
