The hotel was beautiful, but some small things i.e. no face cloths in the bathrooms and not enough toiletries, small details. Inadequate light as you entered the room, hard to see into the safe deposit b0x. All small practical details, but would recommend they be put right. Actually after the first night, I wanted to leave but my wife convinced me to use ear plugs. And we stayed 4 nights even though the room was small. But the hotel is a typical charming little cozy building, at the entrance of the great Santa Cruz sector, a walking distance to the Cathedral and just above a lively resto, pub and street. So expect noise at night.

The Fontecruz is a very elegant and well kept and when you get you seem to leave the world behind. Enter a muffled world, the atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms are neat and beautiful and important thing are the most comfortable beds. Beautiful terrace and the pool but we did not use because the temperature did not allow it.

Perfect location, design of the hotel.
Parking: This is not a downside of the hotel, but be prepared that it is indeed as difficult as described by others! The hotel can be found easily with a gps, but the streets are extremely (!) narrow, and it is very likely that you need to back out about 300 m unless driving a really small car. There is absolutely no parking in front of the hotel or in a street nearby, making the hotel a quiet and peaceful place in the ancient city.
