The staff were very helpful and polite. It felt very safe that staff were on hand 24 hrs, and the hotel was clean and within easy reach of the city centre, and nearby metro stations. Staff were always helpful and friendly and were good at "remembering the guests faces".
The lady serving breakfasts was so pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Her reputation on trip-adviser is well justified - she is a real credit to the hotel.The cleaning staff were accommodating when it came to access for room tidying etc.Good location close to Monumental underground station and local cafes etc.

As has been mentioned elsewhere this is much better than a two star hotel. Though a bit away from the centre, it is easy to get to by public transport - just 5-10 mins on bus nos 16 or 17. Good location in spacious apartment with some character. Easy walk to Sagrada Familla, Passeig de Gracia, and La Rambla. Good distance from the port/harbour but we did it! Enjoyed the Barcelona Tourist open top bus - good way of getting around the city. Facilities were mainly good.
