The staff are top-notch. Very few luxury hotels are able to balance friendliness with efficiency like Hotel Bagues. It's a rare gift to offer the experience they do for guests. The ambiance of the hotel is fantastic, too, and despite being on the La Rambla - with a room overlooking it - at night we could only hear the faintest of sounds. Luxuriously decorated, but cosy, the entire hotel is a really lovely experience.

There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.

The location was perfect, the staff are courteous, polite and helpful. I loved the rooms, they are big and clean. Also, I asked the reception about local places to go and hang out and listen to good music, and they were more than willing to show me where to go. Apartment was excellent. It was on the top floor of block with a large roof terrace. Modern, spacious and well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine which for a longer stay was handy.
