  Our room was on the 5th floor with a tiny balcony overlooking the Rhine, which was perfect for us to sit and watch the boats go by. The room was well equipped, very clean, with even a hospitality tray - rare outside the uk. There was also free WiFi which was a nice bonus. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was plentiful and in a pleasant room.... what people say » One would not guess that the staff were still pumping water out of the cellar after the floods. We were lucky finding a parking place right outside t - We liked everything about the Hotel, owner and his team. Even though the Rhine had flooded the front of the Hotel and gardens it did not stop the Owner and the staff from running it well even though they were keeping back the Rhine . I should also mention that the owner speaks perfect english and had an interesting conversation with him covering various subjects in depth.   Herr & Frau Wolff are wonderful. I enjoyed Frau Wolff from the moment we met and she guided us around Trier and made the visit very nice. The food was excellent and the room extremely clean.   I was really impressed with this hotel, considering the price, and that it was at a rest stop! Super clean, comfortable, quiet room with a nice balcony and view. It was handy having the 24 hr restaurant an store adjacent, for those midnight cravings! Play area for the kids was appreciated, as well.   We had the most wonderful, friendly welcome from the lady proprietor which set the theme for our stay. Drinks beside the river Rhine and the most delicious an hearty meal. Breakfast likewise. A quiet location in a charming village. - Nice hotel. lovely view from our room. Lots of little local 'weinguts' to visit/buy wine from.
