We loved everything about this hotel! It was in a farming village, tucked away high in the Black Forest, but within easy reach of the Autobahn network, close to the Swiss border. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean. The proprietor and staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. -

It is really hard to travel with a baby and Michael, the owner of this quaint guesthouse situated in one of Schiltach's cutest areas, made sure that we feel at home. Everything. Very friendly, traditional family run accommodation. Best of all was the character of the hotel; it was very similar inside to the houses at the nearby museum. The location is excellent too with many facilities and a couple of towns in well-sign posted walking distance. Also, the family cooked very cheap meals which were very nice and the breakfast was excellent every morning. Amazing value for money.

evening of our stay and the two other restaurants in the small town were
empty and overpriced so we had to drive to another town for dinner.
