We loved everything about this hotel! It was in a farming village, tucked away high in the Black Forest, but within easy reach of the Autobahn network, close to the Swiss border. It is really hard to travel with a baby and Michael, the owner of this quaint guesthouse situated in one of Schiltach's cutest areas, made sure that we feel at home. He even served us dinner in our room to help us out when the baby threw a fit. The appartment that we booked was absolutely perfect and a great value for money. The breakfast was abundant and really really yummy, but what made our day was Michael's smile, good manners and kindness. It is rare to see an owner of a guesthouse care so

Everything. Very friendly, traditional family run accommodation. Best of all was the character of the hotel; it was very similar inside to the houses at the nearby museum. The location is excellent too with many facilities and a couple of towns in well-sign posted walking distance. Also, the family cooked very cheap meals which were very nice and the breakfast was excellent every morning. Amazing value for money.

The ladies who manage the hotel were very nice and spoke some English.
The room was spacious, comfortable and had an english speaking tv
Channel (cnn). Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner the
evening of our stay and the two other restaurants in the small town were
empty and overpriced so we had to drive to another town for dinner.

The comfy room, the breakfast was varied and plentiful,the location was
close to town, swimming pool was a bonus and the large lawn out the back
to relax in was wonderful on the hot days. The staff were very friendly
and obliging.
