The location is absolutely ideal - 2 minute walk from the train station
and the Gray Line tour departure point, as well as an easy 5-minute walk
from the pedestrian zone which takes you directly (another 5 minutes) to
Marienplatz. Could not have been better and the price is much more
reasonable than other Munich hotels. The accommodations are very
typical, with an exemplary Bavarian breakfast each morning. The rooms
are small, but typical for Germany, and we had no intention of spending

It was my first time at a hostel and I was kind of hesitant at the start, but the staff made me feel comfortable right off the bat. Staff was very very friendly and helpful for directions and food hunt. Rooms are clear and quite enough, also depending on who are your room mates. I wasn't very lucky about this, one lady was screaming very loudly in the bathroom early in the morning and two guys wanted to keep the conditioner on at 19°: was very freezing...
Alltogether a very good experience in comparison with the few money paid. Also, the breakfast (it needs some € 4.50 extra) is international and very good.

We are senior couple and prefere to stay close to the downtown, so that to be able to return home in the afternoon and relax for a while to be ready for further explorations. Our 3 night stay in the Meininger Hotel/Hostel was faultless. Room was bigger than expected, clean and modern as photographed. Staff were excellent and helpful. There was a bar and pool table and space down stairs to chill out outside of the room. Walking distance to main train station and the city if you like to walk and the best part was the beer

Friendly staff - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to drive to, easy to get to city center from. Travelling with our Golden Retriever, readily accepted the pet with a 10 euro additional fee.
