  Really nice appartment in Zollverein, a suburb of Essen. We only used it as a place to crash between to days on the road. - Very easy place to stay. Parking was over the road in free car park and tram was 30 seconds from apartment. - Just opposite to the ruhr museum and in the city centre this is the best hotel I got during my Europe tour.

After 2,5 hours waiting for the German adac in vain, the husband of the owner of the Guesthouse Nordstern offered help to put my motorbike in his van and drove to a motorbike garage from his friend. The Acic family are lovely, I was arriving after midnight, so they gave me the code to the night entrance when I phoned.
