  Location is absolutely perfect, directly on the banks of the river with a 2 minute walk to Altstadt in one direction and a 2 minute walk to night life and Mirabel castle in the other direction.   The hotel is in an excellent position, and is very tastefully decorated ( except fot the absolutely hidious standard lamp in the bedroom!! ) The choice of cold foods at breakfast was very good but the scrambled eggs looked rather sad.   This was probably the best hotel we have ever stayed stayed at! Comfort, amenities, location, and most of all, staff, were superb. we would recommend this unhesitatingly and enthusiastically to anyone.   Very clean, comfortable and spacious room. Charming setting with tree lined driveway and a rustic atmosphere throughout the hotel. The food was superb, breakfast had a wide assortment of typical German / Austrian foods. Our evening coffee and dessert was fantastic. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, spoke perfect English and was very helpf... what people say » ul in identifying places we wanted to see on our map of Salzburg. Some may be concerned because it is outside of town but we found that to be an adva - Perfect location - not too far from Salzburg and still outside so you can enjoy a romantic holiday outside the city, but close enough to have a romantic walk in the city centre. Nice hotel, high quality rooms and equipment, nice and helpful personnel.. Looking forward to come back again :)

  We had a lovely large triple room, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, warm and comfy, lovely large bathroom, great breakfast, within easy walking distance of the centre of Salzburg and 2 minutes to the train station, unassuming and friendly multi-lingual staff, fast checkout. Even the kitchen staff was great. The breakfast was good (but get there early to get a taste of everything). The room was very nice and clean.   The rooms are exceptionnally large and clean, with nice furniture. The hotel is quiet, though located absolutely nearby the center of the city (8 to 10 minutes from downtown). The restaurant of the hotel, though we didn't have the chance to test it apart of breakfast, is excellent.   The hotel was very quiet and clean. Great location for driving in and out of town (although you need GPS to find the hotel!).
