Salzburg 4* star Hotels

Located out of town near to the railway station, initially thought the walk to town was too far every day however soon found quicker route through the gardens to the river and over the bridge. Turn right at the congress building and keep right, good short cut. Very enjoyable weeks stay, breakfast good, plenty to choose from and the staff helpful. The rooms good, beds very comfortable and hotel very quiet even though it was full while we were there. Travelled to Munich on the train for the day, v - Christopher

We had no trouble finding the hotel, and were upgraded to the President's suite upon check-in. We were astounded!! The room was gorgeous - great walk-in closet - large dining room, den/tv area and bar/desk. The bathroom was huge!! Staff treated us as if they were determined to get a perfect rating, and they more than succeeded!! Parking was convenient and safe, but we did have to pay 8 Euros. We spent two nights here after the Munich Beer Festival - it was easily found after a 20 minute walk from the train station. The building is nothing fancy, but the reception from the staff was very welcoming. Our room was basic, but clean and tidy with a programmable safe for passports and a fridge (pre-stocked) that we could squeeze a few extras into. We had a room just around the corner from the main road, which could be heard but didn't disturb a sound nights sleep. Breakfast was a typical - Michael

hotel is in a good location- not too close to the town but a great bus service on the road outside the hotel- one bus goes direct to airport. The hotel room was quiet and the room was a good size. Tea making facilitie provided and topped up each day, free tv and, good sized bathroom and plenty of storage- we stayed on floor 3. breakfast was good- lots of breads, rolls, fruit salad, yoghurts, cheeses, meats etc and a nice beer garden to drink in at the end of the night- did not eat in res - Arnold

very friendly staff,Breakfast was Good,Proper location, Only when we need Vegetarian Breakfast It should be separate which we expect.we stayed twice in 2008 & 2009 Rest fine recommended for Normal family like us. - Anthony

I reserved our room for 3 nights at a rock-bottom price, but was surprised to find we had a spacious well appointed room with king bed and great bathroom. The in house restuarants were good, especially the keller, which served wonderful schnitzel and great value prices. The location was ideal, on the tour bus routes, close to all attractions and restaurants. The staff were helpful and everything went just fine - now that's unusual! Can't complain about this hotel at all. 2 minute walk to Mirabel Palace and the Sound of Music tour meeting place. Short stroll to the city centre. Not fashionable, but it was clean, smoke free, quiet, friendly staff, breakfast was alright not great selection. For what we paid each 27EUR its an absolute bargain for value and location - definitely better than a hostel. Note if ur heading to Salzburg airport via no2 bus, ask the reception about the bus stop just around the corner behind the hotel, - Brian

I stayed here for 2 nights this April. Its within an easy walk of the train station. I arrived and whilst my room wasn't ready could sit out on the deck in the Spring sunshine enjoying my first ever Almdudler. My room was a good size with a 3/4 bath. Best of all was the wireless internet available in the hotel room. Can't fault the hotel staff, they were friendly and helpful, spoke excellent English when my German escaped me and I had fogotten my travel adapter to charge my phone/camera and - Lesley

Outstanding hotel and best service and attention to detail by all of the staff. We stayed in the lovely and remodeled modern Villa alongside the main hotel. Yes, they have elevators! and a CD player in the room, espresso maker, large flat screen tv, beautiful bathroom. Breakfast choices are fantastic. We walked from Main Train Station, but city busses are available to/from for 1.50Euro per person to within 2 blocks ot the hotel. I asked the staff to place that information on their website. I was very pleased with this hotel. The hotel is a recent remodel of an old building. The rooms are very clean, modern and nice. As with all old buildings, nothing is large. elevators, corridors and rooms are a bit small. HOwever, this is the case with all places in Salzburg. The location of NH Salzburg is excellent. About a 5 minute walk to the river. Across the river are the Mozart museum, etc. The walk from the hotel to the river is very nice with a friendly pedestrian zone (shops, etc.) alon - Jason
