Hotels near W. A. Mozart Airport

A pretty family run hotel with a lovely natural swimming pool, relaxing garden and warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and management of this comfortable Austrian hotel. Close to the airport if you are flying, we drove to Salzburg and took the bus into the centre - which is easy and efficient. Our bedroom was gorgeous, big balcony and ceiling mirrors (good for a romantic break, some rooms have water beds and jacuzzis, but families would be equally happy here). The breakfast - Gareth

This hotel was excellent value for money. We were a family of 5 with one child being an infant. They were able to accommodate us in an apartment with 2 rooms and the toilet and bathroom separate, which was fantastic with kids. All the usual things expected in a decent hotel, however a kettle in the room would have been nice to heat water for baby bottles and make a coffee/tea etc The staff were really helpful and were able to provide information or where to eat, sights to see and details on how - Marc

1. Hotel is very clean and has a cool, unorthodox design - it opened in 2008 and is very well maintained. It is also quiet. 2. Staff was extremely helpful - we got great tips from a guy at the reception the night we arrived (saved us a great deal of time and money) and we got extra-effort assistance from the owner's son the day we left. 3. This is a lovely hotel, a little outside the city centre. In a quiet area which was nice. No air con but did have a fan and had a balcony. Very clean and friendly owners. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. - Gabrielle

The location of the hotel is not bad - it is easily reached from the train station by bus and it takes only 15-20 min walk to the main tourist attractions. We took the cheapest deal and got a small attic room. Despite being small, the room was well-equipped and had a very comfortable bathroom. The beds were comfortable. We could choose between thick and thin blanket. No street noise, no neighbors voices. A breakfast was rich and also was nicely served. Two supermarkets 2-5 min walk from the hote - Andrew

When visiting Salzburg we originally planned to stay in the heart of the city, but after seeing the traffic in town decided to try one of the hotels just outside of town. We lucked into the Hotel Laschenskyhof which is in a rural area just a couple of miles west of the center of town. It was a great experience. I first came here to this hotel in April 2007. It was much better than I expected, and is quite possibly the best accomadation I've ever stayed in. OK at the time I was mainly used to scruffy hotels in Skegness, but this hotel was extremely clean and all the furniture and facilities were lovely and new. The view from the balcony of my room was fantastic, with a manificent view of Untersburg and other mountains and fields in the distance. WE stayed at this little hotel outside of Salzburg as we had found it in a best western accommodation book. The hotel was a little difficult to find, but worth the search. The views to the mountains was spectacular and the service wonderful. It is located in a small village with a little post office directly accross the courtyard/road. It has a lovely cosy restaurant and the staff were veryw illing to help. The only drawback for us personally was the language barrier as our German is limited to - Jean
