  Free breakfast, location near Sea World, Hotel is a little dated, but everything in the room looked pretty new except the carpet. We just needed a place to spend the night after full day at Sea World. it worked great for that. - I am very thankful the staff helped me recover a bag that I left in my room.   We were very Happy to stay there . The location was perfect for us and when we got back in the evening most of the staff greeted us, we were very comfortable till our next day adventures.   When we was in the process of booking our travel plans I founded it pretty hard to make a decision based on all the different reviews,ok so I vowed to give my honest experience to help other ppl,thats traveling on a budget and looking for the best deal.....and this was by best,the best decision we made...before I give my experience, my total price... what people say » we paid for 2 airfare(spirit) and 3 nite hotel stay came to $615 which left alot of shopping and food money(lunch,dinner),limo from/to our home,....o - This is one of the best place's I have ever stayed at. The people were very friendly and nice, the breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were clean, with microwave, refrig, and coffee pot in every room. This will be the place I will be staying from now on, as I have to come to San Diego, at least every 5 weeks.

As I habitually have a cup of tea on arrival at any hotel, I really appreciated the all day tea/coffee /hot chocolate provided free of charge in the lobby.   It is very close to the airport (about 1mi) although driving from the airport is about 2.5 miles. It is a quiet Old town location, but located on the I-5, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you get ear plugs or make sure you get a front side room. We were there only for 2 days and 2 nights.   The newly remodeled rooms are as nice as any in a 4 star hotel. The location is good, but the neighborhood is only okay. The staff was friendly, helpful and polite. For the money it was a good deal and a good experience. - Totally a business trip.
