    The staff were great! After they couldn't find our letsbookhotel.com booking in their system they were kind enough to give us an upgrade for the delay in our check-in. The room was clean & comfortable & the breakfast was nice. Short drive into the cbd but we had a car so it wasn't a problem for us. - Extremely comfortable bed, great break... what people say » fast in the morning (included in the room rate) which included both hot and cold items. A bit of a distance from the popular tourist areas, however only about a 10 minute cab ride to the 6th Street area, and about 5 minutes away from South Congress.

    Everything... The staff, and management, went out of their way to ensure that their guests were comfortable and their every need was taken care of.     First of all I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Corinne Koerner from letsbookhotel.com Customer Service Team. I had booked Hotel Lawrence in Dallas for 4 nights via letsbookhotel.com site starting from November 16 (it was a business trip for a scientific congress). However, my flight from Europe was delayed so that I had no possibilit... what people say » y to arrive on November 16. I contacted the letsbookhotel.com Customer Service Team directly from the airport and Corinne Koerner promised me to call - We were able to make reservations on-line, when our shower didn't drain fast enough, the staff was very good about correcting the problem so that we could stay in our corner room. My daughter loved the milk and cookies and the weather cooperated, so that we were not inconvienced to be at a separate building from our conference. Location to the west end was convenient and desk staff, housekeeping and the man that fixed our drain were are very accomodating.

    I liked the location of the hotel. It's very centrally located by the Rivercenter and other attractions that we were able to walk everywhere we needed.     Loved the size of the room! We had a huge bath and a whole separate walk- in closet/dressing area. There was a full length mirror, 2 dressers and plenty of hanging space. We could put all our luggage in there and then shut the door so we didn't have stuff spread all over the room. Ir was great! Been to Galveston too many times to count and have stay - The Galvez Hotel is a beautiful old hotel that has been magnificently restored and kept up to date. It is right on the seawall and beach and has a rich and interesting history. I like that this is prominently displayed and guests are made aware of its history. We especially enjoyed the older gentlemen curator in the lower level where a lot of pictures and artifacts are displayed. This gentlemen should be specially acknowledged as he brought the history and stories to life.

    The hotel room was very well appointed with a comfortable bed and a very big flat-screen television and sitting area. The breakfast (included in the nightly rate) was great and provided a variety of hot and cold items.     This hotel has an excellent shuttle service for taking guests to places nearby. It took us shopping, dinner and breakfast. It was very comfortable to use it and we saved a lot of money on taxis or renting a car. The drivers were very friendly and we just had to wait a bit when they picked us up (the longest was about 20 minutes).
