It was my daughter and son's first trip to NYC and coming by train it was a very convenient location. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and locked our luggage after check-out so we could sightsee. The beds are extremely comfortable, room was clean and I felt very safe travelling alone with two young children (10 and 5yrs). I liked the location of the hotel, the room was nice with a very comfortable bed and pillow and great view of the City from the 20th floor. The staff were very good also. We upgraded to the Sheraton Club on the 21st floor which was nice, it had a great view of the City and Hudson River. It is not a luxury hotel but is very comfortable and affordable.

Great location fro forays into New York. Just 20 minutes from Newark airport. About 20 minutes from New york City. You could easily dump the car and use the PATH train to go into the City of New York for just $2.50. The trains are clean and on time. The staff were helpful. Size of room and facilities in room. Staff friendly and helpful, my sister and i stayed a week and nothing was too much. Breakfast was busy but grand. Close to Path train - 5 minute walk not 15 as in other reviews. 2 stops to great shopping at Newport and 10 mins to World Trade Centre. Room spotless, housekeeping came in every day. Location was excellent... On 51st St. between 5th and 6th Ave. Right across from Radio City Musical Hall, and the Rockefeller Plaza/Center, plus the Subway station was around the corner.
The room was a bit small, but comfortable enough for 3 (2 adults & one kid). The small fridge and microwave were a plus! The lobby is small compare to other big hotels, but it was quiet. The staff was always nice and helpful. I will stay there again!

The staff are fabulous, very friendly, professional, cannot do more to help. The pool is great - at times (weekend afternoons when the sun is out) it is quite a "scene" which might annoy someone looking to relax but it is what it is (and at other times it is very relaxing). The restaurants are very good and the rooftop bar/club PHD is great on a Saturday (although be aware that it is run separately from the hotel so after 11 or so, being a hotel guest does not guarantee access). Breakfast - we saw many opinions about very poor breakfast here. In
comparison with other hotels|motels we stayed in during our road
trip this one was from the better ones. Missing fruit, vegetables
etc, but you could choose hot and cold etc. Breakfasts are generally
terrible in usa motels a 3-star hotels. W Based on reviews we
expected worse one here.
