I checked into Grand Hyatt in Dec2013.
I was pleasantly surprised by how big the rooms are; at least, twice as big as any other hotel that I have stayed in for a price around $400. The rooms are extremely good in terms of maintenance and all the facilities that you would expect of Hyatt.

The quietness. Like a retreat. Great food. - Staff were courteous and efficient. Checked in early but no rooms were available, they said they would call me when I could go to the room. They did. The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.

The staff was MOST helpful (they turned our radiator off when it got warm in the room and also were smiling and accommodating with another small request we had to freeze ice packs in their kitchen freezer). This hotel is absolutely wonderful- a breath of fresh air. From the time we arrived early to the time we checked out the entire stay was so easy. The staff are all extremely welcoming and friendly, the rooms are amazing and the rooftop bar has the most brilliant views.

We had a terrific view from our Hudson Suite of the Macy's July 4th fireworks; it was the most important factor in our choice on ink48 and we weren't disappointed. The Hudson Suite was well-designed and filled with light - quite different from other Manhattan suites we have stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were surprised how close we were to the theater district.

My partner and I spent 3 nights at The Manhattan and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable with decent bathroom facilities. The hotel also provided free WiFi in the lobby. The location could not have been any better - very close to Times Square, Central Park, various restaurants

The in-house restaurant, Blue Ribbon Sushi, was absolutely and almost surprisingly delicious, and the ambience made the experience all the better. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and stylish, comfortable and spacious. The location in the LES of Manhattan is perfect, you can't ask for more!
