  this is one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed in, it was a great pleasure. the staff need to be praised, all of them from top to bottom.   This motel is in a good location at the east end of the main street through town - close to shopping, dining and Mesa Verde National Park. The free continental breakfast was better than I expected for a motel in this price range. The breakfast room was small but cute and very clean with an attentive front desk clerk keep - The room was very clean and they allowed pets. The rooms were back off the highway, whereas other motel/hotels in this area were not. The benches outside the rooms and table and chairs on the grassy area outside were a nice plus in the evening.

I had a tap beer there $3 and the food seemed reasonable but did not sample.   The staff was very accommodating. We loved the room with 3 queen beds as it met our family's needs. That option was far preferable to having to get a roll-away or a separate room & was reasonably priced. Very close to expressway for easy access but noise was minimal.   The motel has been recently upgraded by new owners. The beds and 100% cotton linens were fantastic. Each room has a little different decor. It is as if the travelers needs were thought of first: 4 bed pillows; layers of bed covers; plates, silverware, corkscrew, toaster, kitchen towels and glassware for the micro/fridge area, lots of fluffy towels... what people say » ; wi-fi, and flat screen. Staff and owner were attentive and friendly . Great to be away from the chains. Stayed 3 nites and did not need regular maid - Great Staff, The owner bent over backwards to ensure we were comfortable. The price is a great value. Hotel is from 1947 so don't expect modern baths etc. tho Wi-Fi was good, expect the charm of a well maintained hotel from an era long past. Great stay, will stay again

  Loved the atmosphere...Aspen as a place for real people, before the glitzy Hollywood/intellectual crowd took over. Staff gave good recommendations for dinner and drink venues close by given many of Aspens venues were not open during off season.
