  I was travelling with my 15 year old daughter. The hotel was a pleasant surprise amidst the unattractive neighborhood. The room was small, but that's New York. We were on 9th floor and the sweeping views of the Williamsburg bridge and Manhattan skyline were amazing! Beds were very comfortable, room was clean. The bathroom was a little differen... what people say » t, with frosted glass door and sink outside of bathroom, so probably not great for travelers who need bathroom privacy. Staff was young, polite, and - Regarding location, some might find the surrounding industry/depot businesses disturbing, but you cannot beat the stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, you have from all rooms and the rooftop-terrace. The area is quiet at night - also if you walk home to your hotel in the evening. Convenient with the complimentary hotel shuttlebus, but you could also easily walk to the subway station Queensboro Plaza 7 blocks from the hotel (8 min walk). In the morning there might be a bit of noice from truck

New. - George, the front office manager, went the extra mile to make us feel at home. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 8 nights split into 2 parts and in both stays George and his staff were excellent! The room furniture and fittings superb. Convenience of shuttle to subway was a real bonus! I'd recommend another stay at Hotel de Point anytime! Really good value for money.

  The staff were the friendliest that I had encountered in my 2 weeks of traveling in New York and Boston. I stayed for the convenience of being close to JFK for a morning flight for which I caught the shuttle which runs on the half hour. - The location is ideal and offers free shuttle service to all JFK terminals every half hour.
