Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered some great ideas for what to do, where to shop, where to eat, and where the locals go for fun. The Lodge offered discounted tickets to the Mansions and passes to the art museum. The breakfasts were fantastic, and it was nice to chat with the other guests during breakfast to hear what they were doing during their stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Ivy Lodge.

Bouchard was close to almost everything when walking, and the beach was only a short drive away. The room was very clean and comfortable, although a bit small. The morning pastries were hot and delicious when delivered to the door. My sister and I were able to check in early which was great. We noticed that there was construction going on (they are obviously expanding) and the innkeeper told us upfront that there was a small hole in one of the walls of our room. My husband and I stayed there on a whim Maggie was such gracious proprietor. She and her husband are very passionate about keeping the history of the place intact. The rooms are beautifully appointed. It's very quite and relaxing. The location is beyond perfect since it sits on Bellevue Ave which place s you half way between walks to the mansions/

The inn was quaint and historic ( no ghost though). The staff - Otilia
was on the entire weekend that we were there and she was amazing.
Always so helpful and always went out of her way to help us. Always had
a smile on her face no matter the time of day or night. And the
location was the best!! We could leave the car in the parking at the
Inn and walk everywhere. This was such a plus in a city where parking
was very limited.
