  The Ivy Lodge itself was elegant and clean. Upon entering it felt like I was walking into my inviting and ornate home of my dreams. Fresh flowers decorating the tables every day, candy set out by the entrence. My room had all the eccessories to make it comfortable, including a fireplace, flat screen tv with dvd player, and a cozy chair to relax in... was die leute sagen » . The bathroom had extra supplies just incase we forgot something. The breakfast was more than I expected. Anything I could imagine to eat was availab - Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered some great ideas for what to do, where to shop, where to eat, and where the locals go for fun. The Lodge offered discounted tickets to the Mansions and passes to the art museum. The breakfasts were fantastic, and it was nice to chat with the other guests during breakfast to hear what they were doing during their stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Ivy Lodge.

  We recently stayed at the Bouchard Inn for out 10 year Anniversaty. After reading many positive reviews I figured we would check it out. This place is fabulous! For starters, the price was great! At check in we were greeted by the Inn keeper who is very sweet and pleasant. A gentleman took our bags and showed us to our room. The location is great on Thames Street, you can walk e - Bouchard was close to almost everything when walking, and the beach was only a short drive away. We noticed that there was construction going on (they are obviously expanding) and the innkeeper told us upfront that there was a small hole in one of the walls of our room.   My husband and I stayed there on a whim Maggie was such gracious proprietor. She and her husband are very passionate about keeping the history of the place intact. The rooms are beautifully appointed. It's very quite and relaxing.   Just to let you know we stayed for a few nights at your lovely B & B in June 1996 and my wife and I still have happy memories of our short visit while touring the East Coast of America. In those days Vince, Dave Dawn, and two cats were our hosts, and we are delighted that your guests continue to enjoy the hospitality you now provide. Should you be in touch with Vince, Dave and Dawn plea - The inn was quaint and historic ( no ghost though). The staff - Otilia was on the entire weekend that we were there and she was amazing. Always so helpful and always went out of her way to help us. Always had a smile on her face no matter the time of day or night. And the location was the best!! We could leave the car in the parking at the Inn and walk everywhere. This was such a plus in a city where parking was very limited.
