  The staff was Extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to visit. The food in the restaurant/brewery downstairs was delicious. The morning breakfast buffet was tasty and convenient. I would stay again in the future and highly recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to dc to tour the city.   The area is not bad at all! There is construction, but you can tell it is an up & coming area! If you use 200 Florida ave ne you will get to the hotel no problem. As far as "sketchy" people in the area I will say this, there is a mix of people in the area & there are pan handlers all over dc, even by the White House. It's great that the hotel shampoo, conditioner & lotion was actually from Bath & Body Works, so I didn't have to use the things I brought from home. The location was perfect for touring all of the museums and attractions in Washington dc. I have already recommended the hotel to two friends that pla - The location was perfect. There was a subway station nearby and also taxis and buses readily available, so getting around was easy. I happened to visit during the unfortunate government shutdown, so there was a lot that I wanted to see but couldn't. The staff was very friendly and quick to offer suggestions on what to do and see, and what was open. The housekeeping staff were amazing, cleaning my room promptly each day.

  When I booked, I mentioned that I am disabled, but forgot to specify a ground-floor. When I called the hotel a couple of days before we arrived, they were VERY accommodating to put us on the first floor, two doors down from the office. Fantastic!!
