The room was very clean and modern with a comfortable bed. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was easy to navigate. The location on New Jersey Ave is a perfect launching point to see the sites from the Capitol all the way to the Lincoln Memorial and beyond with the excellent public transportation. The hotel is a short walk from Union Station. The staff was friendly and the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean. The hotel ,from the lobby to the room was clean and free of pungent ordors. Room service was quick and the quality of the meals was excellent. A valet at the front of the hotel will hail cabs on request.
all reviews » This is a wonderful hotel. Every staff person with whom we had contact was completely professional and all were concerned with our comfort and our enjoyment of the stay. We were there for five days and hated to leave at the end of our trip. I would stay again in a heartbeat. I like big hotels with a busy guest life to my surprise the hotel food was actually pretty nice the bed was nice and good to sleep I got free wifi what was nice but actually should always be guaranteed. very clean; loved the fitness room/pool facilities! AND THANK YOU for the warm pool water :) Alos, Jenny at the front desk was so very nice and helpful!. Wonderful, friendly, efficient staff; excellent service when using room service, with good food and very good menu choices; wonderful location. The staff and facilities where all great. The food is too large in the restaurants but this is typical for the usa the video on demand is too expensive with 17 usd / movie like in all us hotels a glas is missing the bathroom like in all us hotels a fridge is missing. nothing. Wi-fi was not included in the Room Rate, which was on the expensive side and the free wi-fi in the Lobby was very weak because everyone was accessing it. I also didn't like that I had to pay $45 a night just to park my car in the hotel, and then took taxi's everywhere because you can't park in DC. One block away from the shelter for homeless. The fold-away bed in the couch was very smelly. The serving staff in the restaurant were poor and the food wasn't great. For my wife, escalator down to lobby , difficult to negotiate with suitcase, large handbag and computer bag. Porters were busy helping huge bus load of tourists. Cold pool. Expensive but good restaurant- unfortunately it was really the only choice. Across the street from the fire house which was a bit loud. Should have more ammenities in the bathroom. Double beds, need queen or king. Mattresses too soft, non supportive. brunch was horrible. food and service. computers for printing boarding passes not working. had to go to fedex room and pay to do my boarding passes. I booked a double room but received a king room with a roll away. Pricey Starbucks coffee was it unless I wanted to order from the restraunt. Bathroom had no bathmat or shower cap. Breakfast eggs were not fresh. The room I had a really poor view. cost. Cost for leisure was a bit too much. Very noisy. Housekeeping staff starts very early and were not very quiet with carts, etc. Size. No bathroom fan to pull out steam. parking is expensive. Article one - food was ok, price was way over the top as in too too much and service not great. No water anywhere parking is too expensive 45 dollars for overnite stay. Having topay for internet. The Bathroom was a bit small. Did not get the impression that my patronage was valued overall. Perhaps it is a cultural issue. Friendliness, helpfulness, courtesy was lacking among staff as a whole. Bellmen and custodial staff, waiter were the exception - personable, courteous, helpful. Innacurate, lack of communication from booking and registration staff made getting acclamated difficult at the beginning. We learned to adapt and enjoy despite this. There were not adequate bathing towels in 2 of our 3 rooms. no refrigerators in rooms, pressure of water coming from shower.
