The rooms were a lot better than expected, luxury bathrooms even in the standard rooms.

Suitable for city trip.
Staff was great. Our room smelled like someone smoked, this was handled well by staff, we were given another room next day. Best were Dan and Henry (I hope I'm right about the name). Dan is the soul of the hotel, friendly and helpful. Don't know about remaining staff.

This is a beautiful hotel. The room was extremely clean and up-to-date. Our beds were comfortable. It definitely fit our needs for NYC. It was very close to everything - walking distance to 5th Avenue, Broadway, Times Square - but we were not in the midst of the crowds, noise and chaos. The hotel was very interesting, it had a very vintage feel to it like the studios in foreign movies. The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable! I also loved how close it was to everything we planned on doing in Manhattan. The staff was all super friendly and they even had a security buzzer on the entrance which was a plus for me.
